Brieuc Schieb
Perle & Oélia - Installation - 2025
presented as part of the exhibition Panorama 27

Installation
Perle lives in a depopulated world that becomes a projection of her mind. At her side, her best friend Oélia, an omniscient voice, simulates light and sound environments for her: imaginary landscapes that they travel through together in order to better question the meaning of their existence.
Brieuc Schieb
Born in 1995, Brieuc Schieb studied aesthetics and cinema at the Sorbonne before joining ENSAD and then Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains. His work starts with people and contexts in real life and develops fictions around margins, human rituals and inner worlds. In 2019, he made *La Tourbière*, which premiered at the FID. His second film, *Koban Louzoù*, was given theatrical release in January 2024 after winning the Grand Prize at Entrevues Belfort and Côté Court. At Le Fresnoy, he directed *486* and *Perle & Oélia*, two projects based on uchronia, somewhere between period and science fiction films.
