The initiatives carried out by the educational department for various audiences lie at the heart of Le Fresnoy’s multifaceted nature; it is simultaneously an institution dedicated to education, production and dissemination in the fields of the visual arts and cinema.

Young artists – whether students or graduates of Le Fresnoy – as well as the technical teams, are heavily involved in the various initiatives organised for individual members of the public, schools, cultural organisations, associations and community centres.

Drawing on its expertise in areas such as the use of new technologies and the intersection of the arts and sciences, Le Fresnoy invites artists to share their creative worlds through discussions, workshops and collaborative creative projects.
