Creativ’Up, Vitrine pour un.e Designer, and France Design Week are joining forces for a special day dedicated to design and cross-border collaborations.

10.00–18.00 | Hands-on workshops
The day will be devoted to interactive and participatory workshops, led by HOWEST University of Applied Sciences. Two workshops are planned, in small groups of no more than 15 participants each, to encourage discussion and hands-on practice.
Topics covered:
The workshops will be held in English – participants will have the opportunity to ask questions or seek clarification in their native language.
6.00 pm–10.30 pm | An evening of inspiration and networking
The evening will kick off with a highlight: the handover of the presidency of ‘Vitrine pour un.e Designer’, accompanied by the official announcement of the call for applications for the ‘Designers in Residence’ scheme, aimed at young designers. The partners of the Creativ’Up project will also present the project’s upcoming opportunities.

🌍 A multilingual event open to everyone
To ensure that language is never a barrier, the workshops will be delivered in English, although participants will be able to ask questions or seek clarification in their native language. For the networking evening and the talks, interpreters will be on hand to interpret the discussions into French and Dutch.

We encourage sustainable modes of transport and therefore suggest that you opt for car-sharing or public transport.
By train
Lens railway station can be reached from Lille (around 30 minutes) and Arras (20 minutes). From Lens railway station, the Louvre-Lens Vallée can be reached on foot (around 15 minutes) or by shuttle bus.
From Belgium, connections are usually via Lille Flandres, which is the natural hub for travelling to Lens:

: The Louvre-Lens Vallée is situated at 84 Rue Paul Bert, 62300 Lens, near the A21 motorway. Free car parks are available on site.

A lecture organised as part of the educational programme, open to the public. Cy Lecerf Maulpoix is an author, translator and lecturer in critical theory at the city’s School of Fine Arts (INSEAMM).

Lecture organised as part of the teaching programme, open to the public. Guillaume Chevillon is a professor at ESSEC, where he holds the Chair in Cultural Industries, Art and Creative Technologies and is Director of Metalab for AI, Data and Society, a transdisciplinary research institute dedicated to the societal challenges of artificial intelligence.
