Call for Applications: AIRLab 2026–2027

The University of Lille, with the support of the Hauts-de-France region and in partnership with Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, is launching a new call for applications for the AIRLab residency (Artist in Immersion Research in a Laboratory) for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Application deadline: 1 May 2026

AIRLab (Artist in Immersion Research in a Laboratory), a one-year programme, aims to facilitate collaboration between an artist who creates visual, graphic, audiovisual, theatrical, choreographic, musical or literary works, and a research laboratory at the University of Lille.

  • 2 March 2026: Call for applications launched
  • 1 May 2026: Deadline for receipt of applications
  • Week of 8 June 2026: Auditions for shortlisted artists and researchers
  • October 2026 to January 2027: Immersive research phase
  • February to June 2027: Production phase
  • From October 2027: Presentation phase
