Film

The Taiwan Trilogy repurposes the audio and behind-the-scenes materials generated by the Taiwan Trilogy—an unfinished Taiwanese production of three epic films about the little-known 17th-century Dutch colonization of Taiwan—into an alternative historical period piece.

Tiff Rekem is an artist and filmmaker working between the U.S., France, and Taiwan, where her work explores the politics and poetics of personal and national imaginaries. She graduated with a degree in Visual & Environmental Studies and Anthropology from Harvard College, where her thesis film *Declarations of Love* (2022) received the Thomas Temple Hoopes prize, the College's highest honor for undergraduate research. *Declarations of Love* is now exhibited on The Criterion Channel. In addition to working and teaching with Harvard’s Sensory Ethnography Lab, Tiff is a fellow at the Harvard-Film Study Center and an artist-student at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains.
