Dear people of Kızılcabölük,
I was born and raised in Germany, and my family comes from Acıpayam. I am an artist and filmmaker.
Thank you very much for allowing me to spend so much time here. I have been coming to your village from time to time for about four years. This time, I stayed for two months. During this period, I had the chance to listen to you and spend time with you.
I saw how proud you are of your weaving heritage. At the same time, I also saw how difficult this work is. I noticed that weaving at home is gradually decreasing.
I am currently working on an artistic short film about your village and its weaving culture. This film is being made for cinema and is planned to be shown at film festivals abroad. In this work, I want to bring together the past and the present. Through a celebratory procession, I aim to show and share the existence of this culture.
I would like to invite you to take part in this celebration for the film. We will walk together through the village. During the walk, there will be drummers and a clarinet. If you wish, you can bring woven fabrics or small parts of your weaving machines.
The walk will begin on Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 in the village square. 
After the procession, a communal pilaf meal will be offered in front of the Muhtarlık building. I would be very happy to see you there. 
It is open to everyone – young and old, all are welcome.
