Brieuc Schieb

Born in 1995 in Nantes (France)

Born in 1995, Brieuc Schieb studied aesthetics and cinema at the Sorbonne before joining ENSAD and then Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains. His work starts with people and contexts in real life and develops fictions around margins, human rituals and inner worlds. In 2019, he made La Tourbière, which premiered at the FID. His second film, Koban Louzoù, was given theatrical release in January 2024 after winning the Grand Prize at Entrevues Belfort and Côté Court. At Le Fresnoy, he directed 486 and Perle & Oélia, two projects based on uchronia, somewhere between period and science fiction films.
