A work that serves as a manifesto, in the tradition of visual artists who have been playing with the building’s transparency since 1966, *Les Augures Mathématiques* presents a vision of a Maison de la Culture et de la Nature for the future. Commissioned for the Louvre-Lens and restaged as part of a new partnership between Le Fresnoy — National Studio for Contemporary Arts and the MCA, this immersive installation brings to life forms inspired by the dynamics of living organisms — roots, clouds, lichens. Combining scientific rigour with poetic power, Hicham Berrada composes ‘possible worlds’—ecosystems in the making where nature generates itself, transforms and reinvents itself.
