Julien Perrot, 16 years old, shows up at his school totally naked. Yet no one seems to notice anything wrong about him especially that a total solar eclipse is about to occur and everybody’s excitement is rising to its height. People in classes are waiting for the bell to ring to go down to the schoolyard.
Le cas Perrot portrays the dream world in a realistic way. It features amateur teens, in a documentary style, with a view to making dream like fantasy look real. The film is written and directed consistently with our reasoning during sleep.
Rony Tanios
Born in Beirut, Rony Tanios is a doctor and psychiatrist with a degree from Paris-Diderot University (2014). After taking MAs in cinema and directing at ENSAV - École Nationale Supérieure d’Audiovisuel, he entered Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains in 2018. His films explore the unconscious and combine realism and fantasy. Le Cas Perrot (2019) is a dream that is as strange as it is lucid.
