Instructions for gold hunters A red handkerchief or piece of red cloth shall you carry with you. Find a boulder whereupon trees grow, where beneath a river runs. Year on year, between the twin trees, a pale fire appears. Standing five feet away, throw the handkerchief onto this fire. The handkerchief will burn up and show you the path to the gold.
If you try to seek the gold without heeding these words, the boulder will start falling upon you, and you shall run in fear. A man riding a winged stallion will appear out of the fire, he will chase and kill you with his burning spear.
