Peneglote and Polylope are two thieves commissioned to steal the Penelope, the latest Aaton camera. The two abductors do not know that a new version of this camera is about to be put on the market. In utmost secret the Penelope, known as Delta, is undergoing its last adjustments.
We will follow closely, through the advanced software of dubious engineers and the expert eye of a shady managing director, the fabrication of a more and more supernatural hybrid form. Peneglote and Polylope accumulate Freudian slips and lapsus. Instead of kidnapping the elusive Penelope, they take an enormous, worthless camera. A grave error that will cost them dearly... This fiction film, based on a scenario by Luc Moullet, draws a crazy portrait of Jean-Pierre Beauviala, the founder of Aaton, maker of cameras since 1971.
