Coeur is a journey into the mental space of two brothers. There is Louis, who is described as a “dumbo,” and Sacha, a doctor. They wander in the night, cloaked in darkness. Something happens, something has happened: a cataclysm. A certain space-time; an obscure, shadowy world, infinite. The Word. There are no sets. The bodies themselves carry the burden of the past, of fear and anguish. Light becomes a respiration, and the slowness with which one man’s hand reaches the other’s cheek is forged from silence. Uncertainty has slipped insidiously between the likely and the deceptive. Is this windblown field of grass still real? And this river? And this sun? They are two bodies, two brothers: one heart, in fact. Looking for a house that does not exist; that exists.
