A serparo comes down the mountain and crosses paths with a snake. The animal passes from hand to hand, coiling around arms. In a village in celebration, the snake brushes against the gaze.

Constantin Jopeck (1991) is an artist. After studying film in Italy, he took a degree in art research from the Research Cooperative of the École supérieure d’art de Clermont-Métropole. His practice centres on film. He has received support from the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap) for the projects *Les égards ajustés* and *Dispersions. Documents partagés*, which bring together films, sound recordings and documents produced as part of a long-term project carried out on a farm in Lachaud, France, based on field research and filming situations.
