In 73, we arrived in Moscow.
In 77, when I was 12, we left.
In 2010, 33 years later, I went back for the first time.
And I didn’t really film.
A few daft photos, two stolen shots and that’s all.
Even though I found the traces of my childhood, places, and especially my piano teacher, Tamara Borissovna.
She had said on the last day, as a farewell:
“Promise that you’ll play at least 10 minutes a day”.
Bah!...Broken promise. Totally.
What we didn’t do.
What we should have become.
And that day I didn’t film.
I didn’t film because I stopped playing the piano.
