Film -

Victor lives a solitary life. The walls of his apartment are invisible and can be seen through. But Victor does not see the passers-by in the street and nor do they see him. Although the world is just a few steps away, Victor is hoping that one day someone will knock at his door.

Fracture is an experimental fantasy film. It explores the alienation of solitude in a society where communication is becoming virtual. The invisible walls mean that we can see both Victor and the outside world, existing side by side but never entering into contact. Despite the proximity, the thought of a knock at the door becomes illusory.

The director gives special thanks to scientist and composer Beat Gysin, who oversaw the project with priceless technical rigour and artistic creativity. He also warmly thanks the École Supérieure Musique et Danse – ESMD, Lille, for having enriched the project with the world of Liszt.
