Tabaimo uses the medium of animated drawings but some of her projects are also designed as installations where the place of the spectator and the playing out of time are important. The drawing and the colours of her animation films are reminiscent of the ukiyo-e, traditional woodblock prints with the faded, pastel tones and the effects of depth of field and the importance of the line. Haunted House places us in the position of the voyeur, observing an urban panorama through a ray of light where the situations of everyday Japanese life gradually give way to various tragic events.
