Slides installation / spatialized soundtrack
Coproduction
: Le Fresnoy ; Le Louvre
During four hours, a series of slides has been regularly
taken, framing the Northern facade of the Cour Carrée of the
Louvre.
Two slides projectors project, fading in turn. As the
slides turn, the shadows moves gradually on the fixed facade. The visitors
to the courtyard appear and disappear in the images.
The public passing through the Cour Carrée have
been recorded with a 3D sound recorder; they give a volumetric sense
of the site.
The sound is broadcast by four speakers placed around
the screen. The sound is spatialized, the visitor can follow the sound
of a bicycle ring or a bird call by walking around the screen.
The spectator's shadow can be caught by the projector's
beam and be projected into the courtyard.
