Installation created for the Avant-Premiere Festival (durée du festival : 1 semaine)
The installation uses the principle of a reality show and a love story between two characters. The sequences are pre-recorded and displayed on monitors at the entrance to the University.
The installation of the two monitors is displayed in the same perspective of the benches where the shooting has taken place.
On the first day of the festival both characters can be seen on the monitors.
The other days the characters appear alternatively as
if they were waiting for each other, or that both benches are empty.
The installation plays with false-real time. If it rains in the real courtyard, the pre-recorded scenes show the benches in the falling rain.
During the week, both actors can come and sit on the benches; their 'image' may or may not be displayed on the monitors.
According to the moment when the students enter into
the University, they will see the man and/or the woman on the screens,
as well as the actors on the benches in the centre of the courtyard.
On the last day, the meeting of the two characters is very brief, the public may or may not assist in the end of this story.
