LightingAirWay

Biennale Luzboa 2004

Conceived with Nathalie Junod-Ponsard

The concept of LightingAirway is luminous scenography for an enclosed and floating space of a cockpit during a flight journey.

The windows are filtered through a red brick screen. The airport runways change into a new strange scene .

The colored light atmosphere shifts according to the journey schedule.

Blue light for the takeoff, brings a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Magenta light introduces and goes with the meal, it stimulates the appetite.

The light switch to Orange at the end of the meal, it contributes to good digestion.

Finally the light turns into blue again for the approach and the landing. As for the takeoff it brings a relaxing atmosphere.

The light scenography includes the design of the white costumes for the stewards and the air hostess. The security instructions are choreographed and the design of the meal trolley is adapted to take part in this luminous experience.
