Site specific stereoscopic mural drawing

Created with Catherine Melin

Production : Le 10 neuf

Assistant for the mural drawing : Philippe Martini

On the 3 walls of the room the drawing presents an empty landscape with architectural structures leading attention to dead ends.

The mural drawing uses the parallax effect due to the stereoscopic vision. The drawing is made of a double line (red and cyan) alluding to a stereoscopic view through anaglyph glasses.

Similar to a virtual game , the mural drawing moves according to the spectator's position as he walks. The lines seems to stretch and follow his movement.

The 2 lateral drawings show passages leading to the central scenery. The view is blocked by a brick building with a salient angle. The seat and the boardwalk on both sides of the building try in vain to lead the view behind this shape.

Game over !
