Cinemachina cross section

The concept of Cinemachina presents a projection room which is the scale of a building.

2 gigantic wheels (30 meters high) hold 1 year of film / 365 x 8 hours of projection / 1 Story of Cinema / 6054 km of film / 2252 288 000 photogramms
As the days pass, the debtor wheel empties the film into the receiving wheel .

The public enters into Cinemachina via an elevator located between two gigantic wheels. In the different levels of exhibition, they discover a collection of old projectors coming from the history of cinema. The projectors are presented according to their specificities, some of them showing the film coming from the entrance wheel.

At the end of the visit, 24 projectors project the film arriving from the debtor wheel at the entrance. 24 images from the same film are projected simultaneously on 24 screens. The public stands next to one of the 24 loudspeakers on the floor and listening to the soundtrack corresponding to one of the images projected.
