Christl Lidl’s artworks question the time forms through images. Thus, in Time Passing II , the inventory in voice-over of each object exhibited of the Louvre’s collection is confronted with the daylight time gliding along the Cour Carrée’s walls. In Storm the brief instant of the flashlight filmed in video ‘last’ only through editing. For the project I will walk along the daylight, the artist ‘synchronises’ the movement of the user-spectator with the walk of a man’s figure who seems to walk at the rhythm of the daylight changes. Stereo II uses the stereoscopy device to combine night and daylight on a single image. Finally the duration and the schedule of a flight journey is the basis for a luminous scenography in LightingAirWay.

On the other hand Christl Lidl’s images seem evanescent, unsettled. In Passage, the reflected portraits in video seem to float within the space, as virtual visitors. In De Rerum Natura, the stereoscopic animals shown in the installation, appear and disappear in terms of a perpetual motion of matter, it evokes the unsettled diversity nature of living. The stereoscopic photographs she takes, emphasize layers of images and unfolds the scenes (Performance; Shelters, etc.).
